Hidden Treasures

The scrappy Puget Sound Symphony is flat-out becoming one of my favorite community orchestras. The orchestra’s personality is driven primarily by the orchestra’s founder Alan Shen. Shen isn’t your typical music director. For starters, he isn’t a conductor by trade. He works in Seattle’s abundant technology sector. He founded the PSSO while working at Microsoft.
