As I was sitting in the Spectrum Dance Theater listening to Erwin Schulhoff’s morose and brilliant music fill the space and watching Spectrum’s dancers alternate between violent, graceful, and even comic dance episodes I began wondering about the Holocaust and why, Seattle’s artists seem more interested than most in Holocaust era art and performance.
